This past weekend I took a little stay cation at Normandy Farms in Blue Bell, PA. It was so nice to tuck away from the cold snowy weather and curl up by the fire after stuffing my face at The Farmer’s Daughter restaurant. Pulling up to the hotel you would never realize how old it actually is! The hotel is rich in history as it dates back to 1730 and was once a gentleman's estate and largest barn in the United States. The farm was extremely successful and became famous for pioneering new agricultural and farming techniques. It’s now a popular place for weddings, corporate events, and blissful getaway’s! Not to mention their award winning executive pastry chef is one of the best in the world. Anyone who know’s me know’s I’m a huge sweets person, so I was in heaven! Everything is farm to table, locally sourced, and the presentation doesn’t disappoint. It was so nice to just getaway and feel at such peace while at Normandy Farms! I can’t wait to come back when the weather warms up, take a dip in the pool, and taste more from their seasonal menu!
After seeing tons of comments and requests, here is the long awaited how I edit my Instagram photos post. I waited long to post this because I wanted to make sure that I had it perfect before sharing with you guys!
So secret is out: I use my own preset that I created on an Adobe program called Lightroom with a long time friend Lauren. I personally feel that you cannot find anything more customizable then this program. The two biggest tips that I have when creating is finding the perfect hue and saturation of you photos that you enjoy working with. For example, I love the blues and oranges, so I am sure to play with that after applying the preset.
Lightroom is a program for your computer or your photo or your tablet. You do have to pay for the one on the computer, but the iPhone app is completely free (which is beyond amazing!!). This is how I edit all my iPhone photos! It’s so quick and easy especially when I want to post something in real time!
So if you are not interested in making your own preset or purchasing one, no worries! This is not the one application out there. There are so many different apps that come with filters and awesome applications that make your ability to personalize so easy! I have also used Snapseed, Presco, Facetune 2, Afterlight, ProCam, and InShot. These apps can do everything from add the filter on or whiten a photo, to adding the dust effect, the options are endless!
I don’t typically follow the rules when it comes to style, so that no all white rule really doesn’t apply to me! I’m really into wearing all different shades of white and creams right now for winter! A good pair of white denim can go with almost anything. I paired together Articles of Society white wash denim, white turtle neck with off white chrome toed cowboy booties! I added an off white western belt and a tan Lack of colors flat brim hat for an extra western touch! Walking around in the city like this was definitely a show stopper. I swear I belong in Nashville or something, because sometimes I feel like my style just sticks out like a sore thumb in a big city like NYC & Philly.
Friendsgiving with Dunkin!
This year I had the pleasure of celebrating Friendsgiving with Dunkin in celebration of there new espresso drinks! I have never been an espresso drinker, but @dunkin ‘s new smooth espresso is a game changer! Thanksgiving may be over now but I’m thankful for @dunkin ‘s new handcrafted lattes and cappuccinos! Their new blend is the perfect balance between rich & smooth!
I am so happy to have met the Dunkin team, and had the opportunity to get to know what makes this espresso recipe different from all the rest! Not to mention the spread was amazing! I even got a latte made with my face in it! (I drank it so fast I didn’t even get a picture.)
NYFW Day 2
Michael Costello, Chromat, and Vivienne Hu
Day 2 started with the TRESemmé team over at Spring Studios. They gave me a super cute braid and loose tousled curls. Then I was off to the Michael Costello show. The show was filled with floral dresses, bold colors, and sexy silhouettes. The Chromat show was nothing less then amazing! Every season the show gets bigger and better. Vivienne Hu gave me serious spring fever! (already, yes!) The lace, bright pale pinks and yellows, I seriously need to get one of her pieces!
