NYFW 4 Review - Claudia Li, Gemma Hoi, Tibi, Vivi Zubedi, Angela Mitchell, Chocheng

Day four was definitely a little more relaxed yet full of shows and presentations. Angela Mitchell's shoe presentation was my favorite presentation I've seen thus far. Every aspect was so far thought out and really reflected the collection. Claudia Li's collections keep getting better and better each season. I definitely believe her new collection wins the most wearable. It definitely reminded me of why I love fall fashion so much!

Day four consisted of two looks, mixed with some high & low end pieces. I started the morning off wearing a matching set from H&M with Zara OTK boots. In the afternoon I opted for a more comfortable look with ripped denim, and a lace sleeved blouse from H&M, and a Liven fur coat.

NYFW 3 Review - Dan Liu, Dion Lee, Song Jung Wan, Helen Anthony, Johnathan Simkhai, Philipp Plein

Today was another crazy busy day for me. Shows and presentations almost every other hour. To start the day was Dan Liu, whose show was so beautifully presented. I loved all the baby pinks that were added to his collection. Coincidentally my first look matched perfectly with his show and the pieces he presented. Dion Lee was another inspirational show. The feminine silhouettes in every piece, just made his collection a stand out.

Extreme color, and electric florals walked the Son Jung Wan runway. Her show gave me all the feels and some serious color inspiration. By far my favorite of the day was Jonathan Simkhai. He never disappoints, however this collection stood out because of the focus on strength of women. This theme was so fitting for what is currently happening in America, so it was incredibly moving to see this brought out in his designs. I am so grateful for being able to come and be inspired by these amazingly talented designers season after season.

NYFW Day 2 Review - Just In XX, Fashion Hong Kong, Concept Korea, Chromat, Nicole Miller

Wearing: Zara sock boots (similar), Smarteez Gingham print dress (similar), Suncoo blush collared shirt (similar), Zara black heart bag (similar)

Day one for team honest at NYFW A/W18. Our first show, JUST IN XX set the bar high! I loved getting a taste of the abundant Taiwanese culture that Justin, Yi-Ying Chou (designer of Justininxx) brought out in his collection. The name of his collection “SuperlinXX” aka super links, has a relevance that aligns perfectly with what’s going on today.

Thank you to Lexus for providing me with transportation from show to show! #howfashiontravels

Fashion Hong Kong brought so much light to the runway. Designers Anveglosa, Harrisonwong, and Heaven Please+ were all extraordinarily unique. By far one of my favorites from day one was Chromat. I personally got to go back stage and thank the model who bared her double mastectomy scars in front of the camera. Not only did I get to thank her but the designer who put her there, Becca McCharen-Tran. This is something that I so appreciate being represented in NYFW. All women scars or no scars, should feel beautiful in their own skin and be able to flaunt it strongly. “Chromat runway shows are a celebration of the strong powerful women, femmes and non-binary #chromatbabes in our world.” - Becca McCharen-Tran.
