Tranquil Blue Summer Shoe

Finding the right summer wedge is super important to me because I love wearing heels and sometimes wedges are just more appropriate and comfortable. These Bar III dusty blue wedges were the perfect addition to my shoe collection. The almond shape toe, and the sweet silhouette of the heel makes it the perfect shoe to wander the city in. Colored shoes are my thing right now. I can dress up jeans and a simple crochet top with these shoes and it instantly adds to the simple outfit. Smaller embellishments like this Primark statement necklace just give it that extra something! This pantone shade of blue is not only a popular color for the spring/summer season, but also for the upcoming fall/winter season. I am slowly adding small pieces of blue into my wardrobe.

New Buys & Beginnings

Denim on Denim
Neon lenses

Over the last two weeks two things have happened. One I bought these super comfortable nude wedges from Chinese Laundry, that I want to live in! Two I have transformed my blog from Something Borrowed to Honest Twenty OneOver the last two months after releasing Something Borrowed I have really come into my own with the whole "blog thing". I originally started my blog because I wanted to share my thoughts about fashion, food, love, and whatever else. However after getting so involved with writing and producing my content I realized it is so much more then just sharing my thoughts. I am not a famous celeb so why do people care what I have to say, when there are a zillion other fashion bloggers out there?!

So over the last month or so I have thought about all these things that this brand I am trying to build should stand for, and what are the things I really care about and want to share with you all. The name change was my first step! This was important to me because my reasoning for Something Borrowed was no longer the same. My reasoning was because I was borrowing ideas and inspiration, putting my twist on it hence "Something Borrowed".  As I became more aware of my voice and impact as a blogger I zoned in on my end goal and purpose. Who is my target market, what is my relationship with my viewers, what companies do my viewers and I lust over, and what could I offer, as Megan the blogger, fashion expert, and business women.

These important questions and the growing success of my blog made me confident that I could do more with this then just take pictures and write about clothes. So there we have Honest Twenty One is born! HTO is for the diverse and ambitious 20 something, who is creative, curious, versatile, and ready to explore what the world can offer her. I am overly excited to announce Honest Twenty One as my new and improved website, and can't wait to share all of the exciting things I have been working so hard on.

Stay Tuned!
