Architeqt Salon and Gallery

FullSizeRender.jpg

I've been to so many salons over the years and I've never found one as unique as the Architeqt Salon and Gallery. Not only are they in Philadelphia but their stylists are extremely versatile! I had the pleasure of being taken care of by Alba a more recent stylists to the salon. She gave my coper blonde a lift with a gloss treatment and gave me the best beach waves I've ever had! Her technique to waving/curling hair is something Ive never seen before! If your from the area and looking for a new updated salon to go to Architeqt Salon and Gallery is the place to go!

Weekend Winter Style

Wearing: Faux Fur | Asos Belt  | Express Denim

Winter is officially here, and it's time to bring out the fur coats!  A good coat is essential for my winter wardrobe but a statement faux fur coat is definitely at the top of the list. A fur coat elevates any simple look, and can effect your whole attitude towards the day. I'm currently obsessed with this faux fur from MakeMeChic. I love a simple gray casual outfit and with this statement fur I can easily transform this look from casual to chic.

Philly Fashion Week Recap

PFW was something I was really excited to attend because it's right here in my city! I had lots of stylish events to go to and met some awesome designers that showcased their work throughout the week. It was such a surprise to me that not many people in places as close as NYC knew about Philly fashion week. Although Philly fashion week is on a smaller scale then NYFW it is still an amazing accomplishment for this city and it's designers.

I was very excited to wear some of my favorite local designers during the week. Orgotton was one of my favorite pieces to wear and photograph. Not only is their new collection to die for because of the diversity of just one piece, but it is made from the most comfortable fabric of all time! It hugs you in all the right places and shows off just enough skin!

PFW has a urbanity feel to it, and it reflects in it's fashion. So naturally my fashion choices did as well! I think the fashion here reflects my relationship with this city, it's close knit and loving. I encourage you all to check out these amazing Philadelphia designers!

Inside La Colombe's Home Office

Thanks to Kate Kelly; social media & events coordinator for La Colombe, I had the chance to glance into their home office inside of their Fishtown Cafe, right here in Philadelphia.

I love looking into other people's workspaces. La Colombe's flagship store was an abandoned warehouse that now is the home to their beautifully wooden headquarters. The office space is very industrial with touches of modern materials. It is so visually appealing, why wouldn't this space be inside one of their largest cafe's!

The building houses more then just their cafe & company office, but also a rum distillery, a full size kitchen including their own bakery, and even a tasting room. La Colombe has become such a popular place where all sorts of people come to dive into work, grab a perfectly made latte, splurge on some delicious bites, and even grab drinks after work. With ample seating and tasty menu options La Colombe is a local gem!

La Colombe is all of that and more for me! I love the environment and diversity their cafe brings to my local scene. Not only is their iced red eye coffee delicious, but their intricate cups and cutting board plates are too cute not to photograph! I find myself craving their spicy flatbread pizza with a drizzle of honey! I am constantly going to the hub that is La Colombe when needing to get out of my own office and still get some work done. The space is perfectly inspiring.

Something Aoki

Photography by: James Conley

I am very excited to be collaborating with a local Philadelphia boutique called Aoki just outside of Rittenhouse Square. Not to mention finally getting the chance to shoot outside again! Aoki has everything from casual wear, sophisticated dresses, edgy jewelry, and even some home decor! The Boutique is perfectly painted teal from the outside in, so it is pretty hard to miss. The owner of Aoki Alina and I met to pick some spring starters to share with you all!

Now that the weather has broke here in Philadelphia officially, my eyes have been set on finding dresses to wear! This Elliatt monochrome stripe rule dress from Aoki was the perfect option for a casual day in the city. My GO TO shoes for an outfit like this are my Chinese laundry sandals. They are super comfortable and go with almost anything! Just by changing my shoes can completely transform this look from casual to dressy. This day to night look is now available at Aoki (only a Few left!!)

Stay tuned for more outfit collabs with Aoki!
