NYFW Day 2

Michael Costello, Chromat, and Vivienne Hu

Day 2 started with the TRESemmé team over at Spring Studios. They gave me a super cute braid and loose tousled curls. Then I was off to the Michael Costello show. The show was filled with floral dresses, bold colors, and sexy silhouettes. The Chromat show was nothing less then amazing! Every season the show gets bigger and better. Vivienne Hu gave me serious spring fever! (already, yes!) The lace, bright pale pinks and yellows, I seriously need to get one of her pieces!

Kissimmee Trip Recap

      Experience              Kissimmee

Every time I think of Florida I think of Disney World, but after our trip to Kissimmee FL I now understand the why it is the vacation home capital of the world! We stayed at the beautiful Reunion Resort . The resort itself has so much to offer we could have spent the entire week just there! But we opted for some adventure from the moment we landed in Florida.

Our first stop was the famous Fun Spot America! We raced go carts, played arcade games, and Zach took the plunge of a life time! Watch him ride the worlds tallest sky coaster!

After a day of traveling and fun we headed to dinner at our resorts rooftop restaurant Eleven.  The food was amazing, and so was the view!

After a night of great food, wine, and a hot bubble bath we woke up refreshed and ready for another adventurous day. So naturally that means we needed to see some gators, so we headed to Gatorland! Gatorland is home to some of the largest and oldest gators in the world! Literally never thought I would be so interested in gators but getting up close and personal with them gave me a new perspective!

Each day in Kissimmee was literally a non stop adventure! We shopped at the Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets, we explored & dined at Disney springs, we zip-lined for the first time at Forever Florida, drank wine & ate a ton of cheese at Island Grove Winery, we even got a pro golf lesson from former pro golfer Scott Downing at Celebrations golf club. Zach and I have never had that much fun packed into just five days! We wouldn't have been able to even think of doing half of the activities we did if it wasn't for Experience Kissimmee.  They were the best Florida guide, filling everyday with something so fun, so entertaining, and so memorable. I will never plan another trip to Kissimmee without the help from Experience Kissimmee.

Day Three & Four; NYFW F/W

Day Three:

Day three was yet again busy but definitely more relaxed then the previous days. (day one & two: click here)  I started the day off with Designer Runa Ray. I was so excited to see her debut this NYFW, and she did not disappoint. I absolutely loved her mix of art and fashion. I also loved the unexpected menswear pieces! I'm sure you can guess why. "Hint" Honestly Him.

Day Four:

Day four was short & sweet for me! Red and black seem to be my favorites, which was totally not planned. These button track pants were the perfect pant for the chilly weather here in NYC. In honor of the mr.selfportrait show from day three, I paired these sporty pants with Robert Clergerie x Self Portrait Patent Point Toe Pumps.  Francesca Liberatore is always a favorite for me. This season her plaid and floral pieces were my favorite! I saw similar styles at the Dan Liu show.

What I Learned About Myself After My Big Move & Why I'm Coming Back To The East Coast

So if you've been following my journey throughout my BIG move across country you may think it's been super glamorous and exciting. While it has been a rush of excitement, it has been the least bit glamorous. I was so ready for something unknown and new however it has been incredibly scary to go away from everything you know and love. Not only do I miss my family and friends but my city and the presence I've built there.

The beginning was excitement but their were definitely some tears shed along the way. I'm not even a cryer! However this experience has taught me more about being an entrepreneur. I've always been super independent but with growing myself and my brand I have had help. I have mentors, my team, and a network of professionals I know and work with. In California I started from scratch. My network was now on a different time zone than me and it definitely made for difficult communication. So this made me think like "can I do this?"

Being an entrepreneur is so much more than being a business owner but someone who can take any situation and make a positive outcome. So I persevered and fought through the tough days and soaked up every bit of California I could. But what's not broken doesn't need to be fixed. I left so much back on the east coast and after my departure to the westside more and more opportunities have been thrown my way back east. I know I have amble room to grow anywhere, but I know this is where I need to be now. So while the journey to and from may not be easy or ideal, I am happy with my decision to come back home. So watch out East Coast I'm coming back for you!
