This past weekend I took a little stay cation at Normandy Farms in Blue Bell, PA. It was so nice to tuck away from the cold snowy weather and curl up by the fire after stuffing my face at The Farmer’s Daughter restaurant. Pulling up to the hotel you would never realize how old it actually is! The hotel is rich in history as it dates back to 1730 and was once a gentleman's estate and largest barn in the United States. The farm was extremely successful and became famous for pioneering new agricultural and farming techniques. It’s now a popular place for weddings, corporate events, and blissful getaway’s! Not to mention their award winning executive pastry chef is one of the best in the world. Anyone who know’s me know’s I’m a huge sweets person, so I was in heaven! Everything is farm to table, locally sourced, and the presentation doesn’t disappoint. It was so nice to just getaway and feel at such peace while at Normandy Farms! I can’t wait to come back when the weather warms up, take a dip in the pool, and taste more from their seasonal menu!
Day 3 of NYFW was actually my fifth day in the city! If you count the two days of photo shoots, LIM college panel discussion with Fashion Mingle, and the ever evolving events that happen during fashion week. So you can probably imagine the exhaustion at that point! Nevertheless actual day 3 of shows were nothing shy of amazing! Jonathan Simkhai being my all time favorite of the entire week.
After several seasons of attending NYFW shows, I think the presentation style “shows” are my favorite. Not only are they more personal but they give you the chance to appreciate the designs and then mingle and meet some of the best people in the industry! Jonathan Simkhai’s presentation was exactly that. However my absolutely favorite part was getting to see the behind the scenes. Seeing how the designer interacted with his models, the photographers, that event staff, his team, not only made me appreciate his brand, but him as a person in this industry.
I’ve heard some horror stories about designers and how they treat people. So seeing first hand the artist and the environment he creates with his team was truly impressive. Each season I gain more and more respect for those behind the scenes. Well cheers to another NYFW in the books!

NYFW Day 2
Michael Costello, Chromat, and Vivienne Hu
Day 2 started with the TRESemmé team over at Spring Studios. They gave me a super cute braid and loose tousled curls. Then I was off to the Michael Costello show. The show was filled with floral dresses, bold colors, and sexy silhouettes. The Chromat show was nothing less then amazing! Every season the show gets bigger and better. Vivienne Hu gave me serious spring fever! (already, yes!) The lace, bright pale pinks and yellows, I seriously need to get one of her pieces!
NYFW Day 1
Day one started with the Nana Judy show. This was a highly anticipated show for me! I've been getting so much inspiration from Australia recently, so to see the Melbourne founded streetwear brand come to NYFW was incredibly exciting. Not to mention Winnie Harlow (a Victoria Secret model) walked the Nana Judy runway. Oh and did I mention there was an actual Dalmatian that walked the runway too? Yea Nana Judy's collaboration with Disney's 101 Dalmatians was presented in the September 6th show at Spring Studios.

This season I had the pleasure of working with designer Lanyu and her collaboration with makeup brand Eunarz. More on that K beauty brand later! Lanyu has a beautiful mix of traditional Chinese artisanship and modern design. Her designs are breath taking season after season. Also this season I was happy to see Matthew Adams Dolan & Jeremey Scott what an experience each of their shows are. Jeremey Scott's show is not only a fashion show but feels more like a broadway production!
